Jammu and Kashmir

Executive leadership programme held by JKSDM: Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission collaborated with BRIDGE Institute to organize a day-long “Executive Leadership Online Programme” focussed on capacity building of Education and Skill Development officers of the UT. The programme was organized as a part of JKSDM’s 1000 Leader program.

10-day skill training on sericulture by SKUAST-K: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir held a 10-day skill enhancement training programme on ‘Sericulture –An Economically Viable Source for Increasing Farm Income’. The online skill training was organised by SKUAST-K’s College of Temperate Sericulture, Mirgund from June 28 to July 7.

Punjab

Employment through Handicraft: A two-day online training course on Employment through Handicraft was organized by the Skill Development Centre of PAU for farmers and farm women of Punjab.

Rajasthan

Skill details of 11,000 collected: Under the skill mapping initiative, skill details of 11,000 workers have been collected by RSLDC. Over 8000 workers have shown interest in getting trained in new set of skills

Cloud Computing becomes part of mainstream college syllabus in India: Cloud Computing has become part of mainstream college syllabus in India after seven higher educational institutions has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer industry-aligned cloud curriculum as part of the undergraduate degree and postgraduate diploma programs starting from September 2020.

Students of BSDU develop a 3-in-1 Covid safety device: The students BSDU have developed a 3-in-1 Covid safety device which plays a contact-less role of monitoring the human body temperature, capturing the attendance and dispensing the hand sanitizer at one time by using solar and grid source of energy.

RGNAU invites admission for India’s first ever BMS in Aviation Services and Air Cargo: RGNAU invited admission for India’s first-ever Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) in Aviation Services and Air Cargo course that starts from September 2020. The last date of online application for the 2-year study and 1-year apprenticeship course with 96 seats is 29 July 2020 and the all India entrance exam is on 16 August.
