Applications for Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) now open!

Are you wondering how you can combine your passion with a purpose that’s larger than a job but a career that’s close to your heart! Are you someone who wants to learn while contributing to the development of the nation? Do you want to be a part of the solution and address some of India’s biggest challenges while working at the grassroots level? Then Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) is something that might interest you.

It is a unique opportunity for young and dynamic individuals to contribute to enhancing skill development and to promote the economic development of the country. Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) gives you several opportunities to explore endless possibilities in skill development and training while closely working with the district administration and interacting with the industry sector and the people. 

MGNF is a Certificate Program in Public Policy and Management offered by IIMs. It has been designed as the initiative under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and implemented in collaboration with State Skill Development Missions. 

MGNF is a 2-year fellowship, with classroom training at IIMs, along with intensive field immersion at the district level. The young individuals who undergo this fellowship program will be creating credible plans and identify barriers in raising employment, economic output and promote livelihoods in rural areas. 

MGNF 2021-2023 is nationally rolled out in more than 660 districts pan India. The program will be hosted by 9 IIMs – IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Jammu, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, and IIM Visakhapatnam. The common admission process is managed by IIM Bangalore.

Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship MGNF MSDE IIM

Eligibility criteria for applying to the fellowship are:

  • He/she should be a citizen of India
  • The person must be between the age of 21-30 years
  • A graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or a Postgraduate
  • Ability to express proficiency in the official language
  • Three years of work experience in social/non-profit with an interest in working in rural areas. However, one can also apply with zero experience and a strong motivation towards the domain. 

The applications for the program are now open and the last date to apply is 27th March 2021.

    I have submitted my application form of MGNF form but the name displayed on the form is not my.
    and the Helpdesk of MGNF are also not solving the Problems of queries.
    So, please help me regarding this problem because no one from MGNF are solving my queries…..
