Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) has organized its 56th convocation in Bengaluru on 3rd March 2021 at Hotel Taj West End in Bangalore to acknowledge the achievements of the students and trainers. The event was partially virtual as many students and staff attended it virtually due to Covid-19. Mr. Banmali Agrawala, President, Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., was the chief guest who attended the event virtually.

The event was graced by the presence of many dignitaries including Mr. R Ramanujam, Chairman, NTTF, Dr. N Reguraj, Managing Director, NTTF, Mr. Sarosh J Ghandy, Chairman, Edutech and Mr. B. V. Sudharshan, Deputy managing director, NTTF. The welcome address was given by Mr. Christopher K Raj, Director, NTTF and the awards and certificates were distributed by Mr. Sarosh J Ghandy.

After lighting the ceremonial lamp, the rank holders were felicitated and candidates who successfully completed Postgraduate Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Post Diploma and Diploma programs received their diplomas. Merit certificates were distributed to the rank holders along with the best trainer award to the outstanding faculty member.

Mr. Banmali Agrawala, the chief guest, in his convocation address said “The emphasis should not be on just the skills but on developing people as human beings and as individuals”. He shared ten points gathered from his great professional experience. The first point is Attitude, “the label of passing out from such a premier institute with humility and I think when we, as recruiters go out and look for people attitude, is a lot more important than just pure simple technical skills” he explained. The second point he mentioned about to follow “deep passion in particular craft-area/domain”. The remaining points he explained the importance of multitasking, the importance of understanding digital technology, identifying the entrepreneur in ourselves, willingness and the comfort in embracing diversity, need to remain physically fit, need of nurturing the hidden passion, the importance to understand at least the basics and fundamentals of business finances and finally the importance of fun in every walk of our life. “NTTF is an old and well-established and well-respected organization”, Mr. Banmali quoted.

Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF)Mr. Ramanujam, the Chairman of NTTF, in his convocation address said “ensure integrity in whatever you do and also try to shine in whatever little pursuits that you may have, apart from being good engineers”.

Dr. N Reguraj, Managing Director of NTTF, inspired by the speech of the chief guest said, “it’s very important to be physically fit and the importance of good attitude and humility and enjoyment of your life with fun. In the end, all of you should follow the 10 commandments spoken by the chief guest and make your life as sweet as possible”. In his address he quoted “you shall not be the most intelligent person but the best human being”.

Mr. Sarosh J Ghandy, Chairman Edutech-NTTF, in his address explained the importance of the application of knowledge. “Each one of you should realize the value of the education that you received. In my opinion, NTTF is by far the finest training institution in this country. There are many others who try and lay a claim to fame. NTTF doesn’t have to do that because it’s already known that it’s the best. One of the reasons why it is the best is because it doesn’t let rest on its laurels and it continues to learn from it, continues to apply new technologies, it continues to make you better and more qualified individuals. But ultimately and most importantly NTTF works towards making you a better human being and at the end that is what really counts”, he said.

To recognize the successful journey of a student at NTTF and also to highlight the growth of a former student in the corporate world, Mr. Jagdish Hiremath, a 1993 batch alumnus of NTTF Dharwad was invited to share his experience. Mr Jagdish had completed NTTF Diploma in Tool and die making and is now the Managing Director at M/s Able Design Engineering Services Private Limited, Hubli. He inspired the students with his excellent words, “whatever I am doing today and whatever we have achieved, is all because of the foundation and education, the culture and grooming we got from NTTF. I was from a village and my father was a school teacher. NTTF moulded me as a responsible professional person which made me reach this level of success. What we are achieving today is based on the fact that NTTF gave us confidence that we can live our lives and can lead independently and successfully”. He also explained the importance of maintaining a “relationship” to be successful in our life.

The event marked the successful graduation of 2347 Diploma holders from NTTF from various disciplines.
The ceremony ended with the singing of the National anthem, the joyous candidates got busy with group photos to create memories of their special day.
