NTTF B.Voc with dual benefits

In collaboration with renowned universities, Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), a pioneer in providing industry-relevant technical training, is now offering B.Voc in a variety of in-demand trades. The training is industry-relevant and prepares students for future employment with a Diploma and a Degree. The one-of-a-kind NTTF B.Voc with dual benefits is not only paving the way for students enrolled in the programme to have a successful career but is also helping them embark on an entrepreneurial journey.

To know more about the benefits and uniqueness of the programme, Team NSN interacted with the students who are currently in their last semester in the programme. Since all of them are placed in leading companies, they are quite excited about taking up their first job! And how did the B.Voc programme help them in this journey? Let’s find out…

How NTTF B.Voc with dual benefits helps students build a strong foundation

The three-year curriculum of the programme is based on a concurrent method and allows students to achieve both a university degree and an NTTF diploma. The industry-relevant curriculum aids students in laying a solid foundation for professional growth. Aside from technical knowledge, the curriculum offers students other life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and time management.

Syed Ilyas. B., Final year NTTF B.Voc student

“NTTF is well known for its industry-relevant practical training. And this  B.Voc programme also has a dual benefit attached to it in the form of a degree from Dayanand Sagar University (DSU) and a diploma from NTTF. We attend NTTF classes regularly throughout the week and every Saturday we go to DSU to attend extra classes”, said Syed Ilyas.B, a fourth-year B.Voc student.

Syed is currently enrolled in the concurrent B.Voc programme in Mechatronics and Diploma in Mechatronics. He has an offer to join Accenture after the completion of the programme.

Talking about the career opportunities and skills learned during the programme, Syed said, “thanks to the rigorous training and industry knowledge, I got placed in Accenture. Apart from helping us start our careers with the right technical knowledge, the NTTF B.Voc programme has also provided us with various life skills such as leadership, teamwork and time management which will be greatly beneficial to us in the future.”

K Balaji, Final year NTTF B.Voc student

K Balaji is a final year NTTF B.Voc student who is pursuing his B.Voc in Mechatronics and Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and Smart Factory. He currently has a job offer from TVS Motor Company Ltd.

Reflecting on the NTTF B.Voc programme, Balaji said, “For practical learning, I picked the NTTF B.Voc programme. The three-year curriculum has helped me complete an NTTF B.Voc in Mechatronics and the NTTF Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and Smart Factory.”

“One of the reasons that TVS Motor Company Ltd hired me was because I had completed a degree i.e. NTTF B.Voc in Mechatronics. Furthermore, this B.Voc programme will aid in my eligibility and prepare me for future MBA and M.Voc programmes”, added Balaji when asked about the relevance of the programme for his career.

NTTF B.Voc with dual benefitsBalaji E, Final year NTTF B.Voc student

Balaji E is a final-year B.Voc student majoring in Mechatronics. He has been hired by Atlas Copco and will join the company after completing his B.Voc programme.

Discussing the wide range of opportunities after the completion of the NTTF B.Voc programme, Balaji said, “B.Voc or Bachelor of Vocation has become one of the most popular programmes in India as vocational or skill-based education is more significant in the current times and choosing the NTTF B.Voc programme not only helped me get a degree but also provided me with an NTTF Diploma.”

“After completing the B.Voc, I will be eligible to pursue an MBA, as well as appear for UPSC exams, Bank and Railways examination and other competitive tests that require a basic degree, so a B.Voc degree is going to be very helpful for my career growth”, he added.

NTTF B.Voc programme ignites the spirit of entrepreneurship

Apart from helping the students gain technical skills and life skills, the NTTF B.Voc with dual benefits also ignites the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students. Along with the dual benefits of a Degree and a Diploma, the programme also inculcates strong values in the students.

Piyush Bharadwaj and Varun J are two such students who have embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship in the domain of space technology thanks to the knowledge that they gained as a part of the programme. They are currently pursuing B.Voc in Mechatronics. Not only do they have their own start-ups, but they are also placed in leading companies. Piyush has an offer from Accenture and Varun has secured a placement at BFW.
